Amaan Khan aka The Rapping Machine has created a buzz and has also set a benchmark for the rappers of the capital city by rapping in the official anthem of the SRK’s owned IPL team-Kolkata Knight Riders. The Official KKR Anthem was released on April 9 and ‘King Khan’ Shah Rukh Khan has also given his voice to this song. Amaan is a promising rapper from Bhopal and is rapping since he was just a sever year old.
“Motivation has reached next level for Bhopal and has opened doors of opportunities for the artistes of capital city. I don’t aim for a fan base, I just want to be an inspiration to my friends and rappers of Bhopal,” said Amaan while talking to Free Press.
On his leap of success, Amaan said, “Mumbai is like my second home and getting a call from people with whom I’d die to work with was no less than a dream coming true for me. I recorded with the core team of IPL; I shared moments with them and this could never have happened if I was not hungry…..hungry for success….hungry to attain heights.”
“I was in the top 24 contestants of the Dil Hai Hindustani Season-2 and a rapper RCR who was also a participant of the same show liked my work and referred my name. I was given a very short deadline for this project and because this was my big shot, so I completed the writing and recording part in 4 days,” Amaan added.
“I shared screen with Shah Rukh Khan, Andre Rusell, Sunil Naren and most of the KKR players. Commentators like VVS Laxman appreciated my work; this made my parents happy and proud. Now, this was my gift and make my parents proud made me even happier,” said Amaan on being asked about his personal experience of this entire big shot project.
Giving a word of encouragement to the budding rappers of capital city, Amaan said, “I had no links, no jacks, no agents yet I was assigned this project just because they liked my work. Just keep the hard work up and you’ll genuinely loose only when you stop trying.”
