Khargone: SVEEP activities in the town were intermingled with Gangaur celebrations. Women played the game of ‘ful and pati’ to celebrate the festival. The women used the game as a medium to put across voter friendly slogans and urged people to cast their votes.
Anganwadi worker Reena Gupta addressed the women saying that democracy is a festival for the whole country, in the similar way that Gangaur is for Nimar. She added that everyone should celebrate this festival and use their vote judiciously to choose the right representative for them.
Barwani: Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program (SVEEP) nodal officers are coming up with new and innovative ways to undertake voter awareness activities. In that order, a cycle rally was organised by naib tehsildar Vandana Chauhan on Wednesday. Officials from women and child department participated in it along with the villagers.
Sendhwa: A voter awareness camp for the specially abled was organised under the guidance of district election officer Amit Tomar at Badagaon. Addressing the gathered, Tomar said, “I have complete faith that Divyang Matdata Jagrukta Manch will be successful in coming up with 100% voters’ turnout in their community. It is appreciable that they are trying to motivate other people as well.”
Women and child development department also performed a street play at the vent and asked the gathered to support them to spread the message depicted in it. Mohan Jadhav, who has been Mr MP 22 times in the Bodybuilders’ Competition, was elected as the ambassador of the specially abled by Tomar. Assistant nodal officer Dr Yogesh Bharsat, who has made a special twitter account for the specially abled, started it at the event.
