Bhopal: Chief Secretary handsover to land allotment letter to DRDO

BHOPAL: Chief secretary Basant Pratap Singh handed over land allotment letter for the establishing of a defence project of national importance in Kailaras and Sabalgarh tehsils of Morena district to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), colonel DK Sharma. Colonel Sharma presented a memento of DRDO to the chief secretary.

Principal secretary, revenue, Arun Pandey said it was decided in a cabinet meeting. Revenue land of 334.584 hectare of Rs 50 crore has been allotted to DRDO for a Bhu-Bhatak of Rs 1lakh.

Sainik School would be also constructed on this land in Gwalior Chambal division. Colonel Sharma said the estimated cost of the project is around Rs 1500 crore. The project would help in development of local infrastructure and advancement. Local people will get employment equivalent to 15 lakh human days indirectly.
