Sharp drop of day temperature ranging up to 17 degree Celsius to 18 degree Celsius was recorded in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Chhindwara recorded the highest drop of 17.5 degree Celsius in day temperature. There was drop of 5.7 degree Celsius in Bhopal. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 34.1 degree Celsius which was 4.8 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 23.9 degree Celsius which was 1.6 degree Celsius above normal.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius which was 3.6 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 24.0 degree Celsius which was 2.8 degree Celsius above normal. Shivpuri recorded fall of eight and seven degree Celsius in day and night temperature respectively.
As per the meteorological department, drop in temperature is attributed to combined effect of two troughs– extending from West Rajasthan up to North Madhya Pradesh and another one that extends from eastern Uttar Pradesh to Karnataka across East MP. The combined effect of both these weather systems is expected to cause fairly widespread rain and thundershower activities over many parts of MP.
