Bhopal: The state government have served the show cause notice to remove the mayor of Chhindwara, on Thursday. After coming in power the chief minister Kamal Nath, the CM had done major surgery in his home district. Many of the officers had been transferred just after the assuming the office.
Now, this is the first political action been taken by the Nath’s government against the elected political leaders. The state government, on December 21 last, had ordered an inquiry of three municipal corporations including Gwalior, Rewa and Chhindwara following the reports of alleged financial irregularities.
The urban development department had formed three investigation teams to investigate the irregularities. The teams in their investigations have unearthed many irregularities including the financial irregularity. It is alleged that the mayor Kanta Yogesh Sadarang is not conducting the regular meetings of the municipal corporation. It is also alleged that she had sold the corridor constructed in front of the shops of the corporation build shopping complex. In the connection she had been served the notice of the removal from the mayor post.
