Bhopal: CEO sends notice to BMC officers for attending BJP meet

The office of the chief electoral officer have served notice to the officers concerned of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation who have attended a meeting of BJP, informed CEO VL Kantharao while addressing the media here on Monday. A photograph went viral on social media that the officials of the BMC are attending a meeting called by the BJP members to organise the karkaryata mahakumbh.

He added that the Congress party have made the complaint that the BJP is using the government machinery and the officers to organise the Mahakumbh. “We have asked the ACS of general administration department to submit a report on the issue till Monday evening”, he added. He added that since July 30 to till date 31,75,048 forms requesting for addition, deletion, shifting and amendment of names in the voters list were received by ECI.

The highest number of the application for the addition and deletion of the names are received in the district Indore and to change the address district Guna is the highest. He added that the gender ratio of voters has increased from 905 to 917; he added that according to the census the ratio of women was 931 against the 1000 male.
