BHOPAL: A workshop on ‘Digital Banking’ was organised on Thursday at the regional office of Central Bank of India for media persons.
On the occasion, a power point presentation was given by IT expert Sanjay Nainiwal. In the presentation, he informed media persons about how to transfer money through IMPS and CENT mobile app. The mobile app was introduced by Central bank of India. They also informed about e-banking and mobile banking facilities like UPI, IPS, USSD etc. He also answered queries regarding security features of digital banking like how easy or difficult it would for hackers to intrude into the system and how safe money transferred through digital channels is.
Speaking about the workshop and digital banking, Ajay Vyas, General Manager of Central Bank of India said, “Promoting cashless transactions and digital banking is a good initiative of the central government. Under Digi Dhan Scheme, we are going to organise fairs in different cities of MP including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Dewas and Gwalior. There would be provision of lucky draw in the fairs under Lucky Grahak Scheme and Digi Dhan Vyapar scheme for customers and businessmen respectively. Ninety per cent prizes would be based on Rupaye Card transactions,” adding that “we will cover transactions from Rs 50 to Rs 3000 under Digi Dhan Vyapar Scheme. The digital transactions through the Central Bank have increased six fold in the last month”.
