Bhopal: CBSE schools asked to introduce only board recommended books

BHOPAL: The district administration has instructed the managements of CBSE schools to follow only CBSE guidelines as far as books are concerned. They have been told to introduce only CBSE recommended books as these books were better than books of private publishers.

ADM Ratnakar Jha and Disha Nagwanshi, in a meeting with CBSE school managements, clarified the CBSE guidelines at collectorate on Friday. Parents were also present in the meeting.

Parents had raised the issue of books other than those prescribed by CBSE guidelines. They also raised objection over school management which forces them to purchase books and uniform from particular shops. The administration clarified that parents could purchase books and uniform from any shop.

ADM Ratnakar Jha said, “The administration has instructed CBSE run schools to introduce only CBSE books as per the CBSE guidelines or face action. And even administration will recommend for disaffiliation.”
