Bhopal: A building material supplier has filed a complaint of being shot at from a close range by two men on Monday afternoon. The broad daylight attack on a builder has triggered panic among locals. However police denied of any firing incident and a counter FIR has been registered by the police based on the complaint from both sides.
According to the police, 33-year-old Arif Khan lives in Karmveer Nagar of Piplani area and is a building material supplier whose shop is located in Bharat Nagar area. Behind his shop, another builder Vijay Shrivastava owns a plot and Arif and Vijay have dispute between them over the pathway among their adjacent plots.
Arif told police that on Monday when he was sitting at his shop at around 3 pm, accused builder Vijay along with his two aide Muneesh Malik and Sanju reached at his stop and started abusing him saying that the land on which he has his building material shop is possessed by Vijay and he should vacate this plot.
He said that when he resisted, the accused started thrashing him and Vijay who was carrying a knife, stabbed him in his hand and back and also opened gunshot on him after which injured his mother Shubhratan Bi. He alleged that his neighbourers including Rizwan, Azad Khan, Anees Khan and Dinesh rushed to his shop and rescued Arif.
Later the injured was taken to JP hospital where based on his statement a case under relevant sections of IPC was registered against Vijay, Muneesh and Sanju. SHO Rakesh Shrivastava however said that the FIR is registered but we have not found any evidence of firing in the area.
