The politicians turned into Hanuman Bhakt on Friday, as all the candidates who are contesting the Lok Sabha elections visited the temple to seek Lord Hanuman’s blessings. Ex-chief minister and the Congress candidate from Bhopal LS seat Digvijaya Singh got up early in the morning of Hanuman Jayanti and reached the Balaji Hanuman temple situated at Char Imli area.
Later he visited Kherapati temple, worshiped the presiding deity and offered grass to cows, in the Gau Shala. Similarly the Chief Minister Ka mal Nath and his son visited the two temples in Chhindwara. The other Congressmen and contestant from Guna LS seat Jyotiraditya Scindia along with his wife Priyadarshani Raje visited the Chintaharan temple situated in Shivpuri.
Later he also visited the Jain temple and sought blessings from the presiding deity as well as the monks. The BJP contestant from Bhopal Pragya Thakur, too, visited the various temples including Ratibad and Sehore and offered obeisance. Not only this, many other BJP and Congress leaders visited the temples and offered puja to mark the occasion.
