BHOPAL: A proposal to impose a blanket ban on use of polythene in the State will be put up in the cabinet meeting scheduled for Tuesday. After cabinet’s approval, a Bill will be tabled in the Vidhan Sabha and later sent to the Centre for its approval. The ban will come into force after the Centre’s nod.
The Cabinet will also consider transferring the land earmarked for Smart City in South TT Nagar from the BDA to the BMC. It may clear a proposal to amend the procedure for granting permission to prosecute government servants. The procedure is sought to be made simpler.
A proposal to allot land to the family of Manish Singh from the state, who was martyred in an encounter with the naxalites in Chhattisgarh may also come up. Proposals regarding amendments to the 2013 order banning private practice by government doctors and establishing a state-of-the-art bone marrow transplant centre in the state may also come up. The cabinet will also consider the proposal to provide sugar and salt, besides wheat and rice through the PDS for Deendayal Rasoi scheme.
