Bhopal: Cabinet clears privatisation of employment exchanges

BHOPAL: The state cabinet on Wednesday okayed proposal of running select employment exchanges in the state in PPP mode. The employment exchanges in 15 districts – Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Khargone, Ujjain, Dewas, Jabalpur, Katni, Gwalior, Rewa, Satna, Shahdol, Singrauli and Sagar will be privatised and run in PPP mode.

These employment exchanges will now function as placement centres. In the rest of the districts, employment exchanges will organise ‘Job fairs’ and conduct career counselling. MP will be first state of the country to run employment exchanges in PPP mode.

The cabinet also sanctioned four-tier payscale for officers of the state forest service in line with state administrative and police services. Eighteen posts of senior selection grade, 54 of selection grade, 90 of senior scale and 197 of junior scale were sanctioned.

The cabinet also approved proposal to enhance monthly honorarium of 53 clerk-cum-research assistants working in the High Court from Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000. A new post of deputy director, library was sanctioned for the HC main bench at Jabalpur.
