BHOPAL: At the cabinet meeting here on Friday, the second supplementary budget of Rs 8000 crore was approved. It would be tabled in the Assembly session commencing from December 5, was given.
The cabinet, considering the shortage of doctors in the state, gave permission to appoint Unani and Aayush doctors after imparting them training in Primary Health Centres (PHCs).
They would be removed once the shortage of doctors does not exist.
Approval on hiking ‘Shradha Nidhi’ for senior journalists from Rs 5000 to Rs 6000 was given in the meeting. The bill regarding imposing of one percent Green Tax on commercial vehicles older than 8 years and non-commercial vehicles older than 15 years was also approved. The bill also has provision of imposing lifetime tax on commercial vehicles with a capacity of more than 12 tonnes,
During informal discussion during the meeting, a committee on implementation of cashless arrangements in state was constituted, headed by finance minister Jayant Mallaiya. The committee will study the report of the task force on digital transaction and work for its implementation.
All ministers were asked to be present in training programme on public welfare schemes to be held at Jamboree on December 4. Ministers have also been asked to stay at the stalls of their respective departments there.
