An aspiring chartered accountant (CA) dropped out of the stream to pursue his dream of washing the vehicles, but there is a catch in that his technique drastically reduces the consumption of water. His idea was given a boost by the incubation center of the Bhopal smart city development corporation limited (BSCDCL). There he worked on the idea and now his start-up will take up washing of Bhopal city link limited’s (BCLL) buses.

Dipanshu Das, a resident of Bagh mughalia had been studying in Indore and was preparing for CA when he realised, he is good at washing car after studying some management subject there. He returned Bhopal and started working for steam wash technology. This technology saves water consumption by over 70 per cent. On the top of that it has severeal other benefits as the steam wash also removes other bacteria from inside the four-wheeler.

Usually, the bacteria are not removed when we get our four-wheelers washed but with the steam-wash technology we ensure the sanitation is provided from all the angles, says Das. He further says that when we take steam bath instead of regular bath, the tanning is removed. Similarly, the steam wash will remove the dirt from every angle from the four-wheeler, he added.

He drove his van to the doorsteps of the two-wheeler owners initially, and after he got opportunity to work inside the B-nest of BSCDCL, he went places. He proposed the idea before higher authorities of BSCDCL and they allowed him to have a trial at ISBT for washing the buses. BCLL director Kewal Mishra says that it will be a good thing for us if our buses are washed like this. Nitin Dave, PRO BSCDCL said the trial for the project has already begun and if finalised its trial will begun at ISBT.
