BHOPAL: The department of social work, BSSS College launched the most awaited project BSSS – VIKAS (Voluntary Initiative for Knowledge Advancement and Sustainability) in Central Jail, Bhopal on Tuesday. The main aim of the project is to ‘prepare inmates for taking up challenges post their term in jail’. To achieve this noble objective, BSSS-VIKAS envisages bringing transformation in lives of inmates through training and capacity building while they are serving their sentence.
Sister Lissy Jose, vice principal, BSSS was chief guest of the inaugural ceremony where she dedicated this project to the welfare of inmates. BSSS-VIKAS is third Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) venture being launched by the institute after the successful launch of BSSS- PAHAL & BSSS-JEEVANSHALA in this academic year of 2016-17.
