Bhopal: Teen Mohare Darwaza, one of the oldest gates of the city will be restored to its former glory. Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Limited (BSCDCL) will take the restoration and repair work of one of the unique heritage structures of the state capital.
Teen Mohare Darwaza, one of the entrances to the walled Shahjehabad area, today lie in dilapidated state and its facade has started crumbling. The impressive darwaza have three doorways, one of them was shut for safety reasons as it was in shambles and posed threat to lives of people.
The gateway is used by residents heading to Shahjahanabad from Hamidia hospital road. Now the BSCDCL will take up repair and restoration work under PAN city initiative. The restoration work will be taken up using traditional construction material and ingredients to give it a feel of erstwhile era.
