In the current scenario police are facing new challenges, said DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla while addressing the 40 IPS trainee officer, here on Thursday. Over 40 trainee IPS officers are undergoing since four month long training at the police training academy in Bhopal.
Shukla added social media had brought new challenges and sometimes it happens accidently a police officer should always be ready to face situation. He added a police officer have to be alert about the ongoings in the surroundings, because of the easy means of communication any organised criminals can come and conduct any crime in your area. He told the officers to use modern technology in policing and to always keep in touch with the subordinates.
He asked them to have a soft corner towards victims and that such a personal concern may bring positive result in their investigation. He told them about MP police and how Dial-100s are doing their bit by reaching out to each and helping those in need within minutes.
He said in MP around 10,000 CCTV cameras are installed and they are centrally monitored from the headquarters in Bhopal to provide security to the citizens He told them to follow the community policing, he gave the example of Simhastha in which a policeman was appreciated for helping a old aged woman. He added that the police had shown the excellence in the fete.
