BHOPAL: The Kamla Nagar police have unraveled the mystery behind murder of habitual offender Viru Lohat who went missing since February 17 and his body was recovered from MANIT campus on February 19.

Raju Maina, visually impaired Shivraj and Sanjay have been arrested for the murder. Maina’s marriage was fixed with a girl in his neighbourhood and Lohat used to harass her. He even had the girl’s name tattooed on his hand. Maina warned Lohat not to tease his fiancée over which they also had a fight.

Maina talked to his visually impaired friend Shivraj about the issue. Shivaj told Maina that he also had to settle score with Viru. On February 17, Shivraj and Raju hatched a conspiracy with Sanjay to kill Lohat. They took him to MANIT campus and where they consumed liquor in an isolated area.

Maina attacked Lohat with knife. They crushed his face with stones to hide his identity. SP Siddharth Bahuguna said, “The issue of teasing fiancée of one of the accused was main motive behind the murder of habitual offender Lohat. Three accused namely Raju Maina, Sanjay and Shivraj have been arrested.”
