The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) would be releasing its election manifesto on Saturday. It is termed as Drishti Patra, according to sources BJP is expected to lay special focus on farmers and women. Highly placed officials of the party said that a scheme promising assured income to farmers is highly likely to find place in BJP’s Drishti Patra. The scheme targets to quell unrest among farmers and is likely to counter Congress’s promise of Rs 2 lakh loan waiver to farmers.
If sources are to be believed, the BJP has planned a scheme in which every farmer would be assured of a minimum income.
Government would provide financial support to farmers on per acre of land, besides providing other existing benefits. Another scheme, considered to be an extension of Mukhyamantri Samridhi Yojna too is in the offing under which farmers would get the bonus on their produce that was stopped by Shivraj government.
According to sources BJP is also likely to come with a women empowerment scheme where financial support would be provided to women with entrepreneurship skills. Sources confide that a scheme under which interest free loans would be given to women entrepreneurs, has almost been finalised. In Chhatisgarh, BJP has announced interest-free loan up to Rs 2 lakh to women, in their manifesto.Union minister Arun Jaitley would release the BJP manifesto in Bhopal on Saturday in presence of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
