BHOPAL: The State Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to counter the Congress demonstration at Bhopal on February 22 by celebrating BJP victory in urban body elections in Maharashtra and Odisha. Though the victories have nothing to do with the state but celebrations have been planned to keep the morale of the party workers high.
It has been decided that the celebrations will be held in all districts on Saturday. BJP state spokesman, Rajnish Agarwal said the victory in both the states will be celebrated as a festival. The BJP is happy with the fact that demonetisation did not have a negative impact on its prospects even in an industrial state like Maharashtra.
The celebration of BJP victory is also a reply to Congress’ demonstration and gherao of the state Assembly on Wednesday. The BJP, by celebrating the victory, wants to prove that a BJP wave is blowing across the country.
