Bhopal: Bharatiya Janata Party is gearing up to organise a grand rally to accord tumultuous welcome to its national president Amit Shah on his arrival in the state capital on May 4 as its reply to the road show held during the visit of Congress state president Kamalnath here on Tuesday. The BJP intends to give a special touch this time to the arrival of its national president, who has been frequently visiting the state.
As part of preparations, around 50 welcome gates have been erected from state hanger to BHEL Dussehra Maidan. His cavalcade will be led by BJP workers in the form of a fleet of 51 motorbikes. Folk dances will be performed all the way. The road will be bombarded with flags and banners.
On Wednesday morning, Municipal Corporation officials got all posters and banners related to Kamalnath removed on the roads from Bhopal airport to State Congress Committee. This was also done for Shah not to see Kamalnath’s posters and banners.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesman Rajnish Agarwal said party’s national president always gets grand welcome on his arrival and it would be done this time too. Agarwal said the welcome preparations should not be linked as an imitation of arrival of any leader of any other party.
Amit Shah to conduct meeting of core group
Shah has called around 6000 party workers across the state for a meeting on election preparation by BJP organisation. Shah will also have lunch with core group members. In the core group meeting, the outlines of party’s election strategy would be prepared.
