Bhopal: BJP organisation’s condition is thing of concern

Bhopal: Former chief minister Babulal Gaur is becoming more articulate in criticizing his own party organization after Congress inviting him to contest Lok Sabha polls from Bhopal seat. The BJP veteran, Gaur, interacting with Free Press on Saturday, said the condition of BJP organization was becoming critical and it was no more a party which Kushabhau Thakre had dreamt of.

Those who devoted their whole lives for the party, were sidelined as part of planning, said Gaur. “It is not the issue of Gaur or Shivraj Singh but it is related to party organization,” said the BJP leader. Senior leaders like Raghavji, Ramkrishna Kusumaria and Raghunandan Sharma were made worthless, said the former CM.

“Sartaj Singh was compelled to quit the party and join Congress. Kailash Vijayvargiya had to leave the state while Laxmikant Sharma had to face tough times,” said Gaur. Citing reasons for the failure of party in the recently concluded assembly elections, Gaur said the then government became dominant on the party organization in the state and that’s why the party could not form the government this time.

Gaur points at Nath’s pick terms him as his leader

Minister for higher education Jitu Patwari made a courtesy visit to Gaur on Friday. The BJP veteran showing the picture of Chief Minister Kamal Nath at his residence, said he (Nath) was his leader. Accepting that Patwari visited his place, Gaur said nothing special was discussed during the meeting between the two, however confirmed that they two had meals together.

Action on crossing line of discipline: Rakesh Singh

BJP state president Rakesh Singh, on the issue of Babulal Gaur’s giving controversial statements, said no delay would take place in taking action if line of discipline was crossed. Congress was left with no leader and so are eyeing BJP, he added.
