BHOPAL: A meeting of BJP leaders was organized at Delhi over ticket distribution to the candidates in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting was held at the residence of BJP national president Amit Shah was attended by state in charge Vinay Sahastrabudhey, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state president Rakesh Singh and organizational general secretary Suhas Bhagat.
A discussion on party candidates took place in the meeting. A meeting of election committee was also held later in the evening during which the names of candidates were discussed. There is possibility of the BJP announcing its candidates for some seats in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. The candidates on the seats where elections are to be held in initial phases may be announced early. There are also chances that some MLAs may be given ticket to contest Lok Sabha elections despite some state BJP leaders may not agree.
Polling at Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Chhindwara will take place on April 29. The names of candidates for these seats may be announced. Apart from these, names of the candidates may be announced on the seats where there is no dispute.
