Bhopal: Surprise appreciation for chief minister Kamal Nath on Sunday from none other than former minister and BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak just ahead of Vidhan Sabha session has generated much heat in political circleS in state capital. Pathak appreciated Kamal Nath saying he is a good manager and will manage the show for five years.
Pathak’s comment came at a time when the first session of assembly starts on Monday after the new government sworn in and the session is an acid test for ruling Congress which falls short of majority. Congress has 114 seats which is two short of magic figure 116 in 230 in House. Previously, Pathak was in Congress and he became minister after resigning from Congress in Shivraj Singh government.
Pathak said, “Kamal Nath is competent leader who has vast experience as he has been minister at the centre for 20 years. He is good manager and he will run his government for five year.” Pathak comment is different from BJP line and it has generated heat in political circle. His comment is on such crucial moment when Congress is struggling to keep its flock intact and managing the colleagues just before acid test.
Congress colleagues (MLAs) attitude and movement has upset Congress. Making comments on horse trading, Pathak said, “If it happens, Shivraj Singh Chouhan would not have resigned paving the way for Congress despite knowing Congress falls short of majority.”
