Bhopal: BJP and Congress seem to be confident of bettering their performance in the elections this time. BJP leaders may be claiming of win on 25 seats but as per internal report prepared within the party, it is certain of winning 20 seats.
Congress’ internal report talks of winning 16 seats. As the Sun went down in West on Sunday, fate of 21 seats was locked in EVMs. Polling on remaining eight seats will be held on May 19. Both parties are claiming to winning majority of seats that have already gone to polling.
BJP expects taking lead in Bhopal, Vidisha, Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, Mandla, Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Teekamgarh, Damoh, Indore, Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Betul, Hoshangabad, Morena, Bhind, Khandwa and Khargone. It sees close contest with Congress on Ratlam, Dhar, Sidhi and Balaghat. Congress is said to be stronger in Chhindwara, Guna, Gwalior and Satna.
