The BJP has lodged complaint against Digvijaya Singh, Congress candidate from Bhopal seat, for violation of model code of conduct while Congress has approached the election commission complaining against Namo TV on Monday. BJP in its complaint has said that officials of Municipal Corporation were seeking the size and design of BJP flag and were harassing party workers.
BMC officials should be directed not to do so, they said. In another complaint, BJP has accused Digvijaya Singh and minister PC Sharma of violating section 144 by organizing a meeting at a religious place in Bittan market. BJP has also urged the election commission not to remove Dhar SP and collector over local Congress MLA’s complaint. Meanwhile, Congress has sought airing of Namo TV that begun on March 31. The TV has Modi’s picture logo and conducting political campaign therefore it should be restrained, it said.
Congress has also urged the EC to remove photos of PM from government offices and educational institutions. It has also said that railway tickets still bear PM Modi’s photo and central governments schemes, they should be removed. Congress has complained that under ‘Mai Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign by BJP, t-shirts are being distributed free of cost. It should be stopped and action taken, urged the Congress.
