Police has registerzed a case against BJP candidate from Damoh, Prahlad Patel for violation of the Representation of the People Act on Friday. Patel had distributed a booklet to journalists after he was declared BJP candidate for Damoh Lok Sabha.
It was found that the book distributed to the scribes did not have name of publisher-his address and number of copies printed on the booklet. A formal complaint was lodged after which a case was registered at City Kotwali under section 127A of the Representation of the People Act. District returning officer Neeraj Singh after complaint had initiated the action.
