Bhopal: Following the feat of girl players the boys of Bhopal made a clean sweep and won gold medals in all the boys’ categories matches of RGPV State level Drop RoBall Championship. With a total of 22 gold medals, Bhopal nodal team also won the overall trophy of the championship. Students Welfare RGPV Dean Dr Manju Singh and LNCT OSD Dr Ashok Rai were the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony.
In boys’ singles category, Bhopal’s Rishi Srivastava defeated Ujjain’s Mohit by 15-3, 15-2 and won the gold medal. Prakhar (Rewa) defeated Rajesh (Indore) and grabbed the bronze medal.
In the finals of boys’ doubles, Bhopal’s Ashish Jat and Arpit Jain defeated Ujjain’s Palak Jain and Govind by 15-11, 15-9 and clinched the gold medal. Rewa nodal team won the bronze medal of this category. In the finals of boys’ triple category, Bhopal’s Prateek Tiwari, Sachin and Vikas thrashed Ujjain’s Yuvraj, Mahendra and Chandraprakash by 2-0 and grabbed the gold medal. Indore nodal team won the bronze medal of this category.
Tournament Secretary, Pankaj Jain told that the players who performed well in the tournament will be selected for the RGPV Drop RoBall team and will represent RGPV University at Lovely Professional University, Ludhiana.
