BHOPAL: The 127th birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated at BHEL on Monday with great zeal and fervour. On this occasion A. M. V. Yugandhar, executive director garlanded the bust of Pandit Nehru. H. K. Nigam, general manager, MM and President, BHECNIS; all general managers, trade union representatives and employees in large number were also present in the programme.
Yugandhar, in his address, said that the role of visionary Pt. Nehru in the industrial development of the country has been significant. He further said that Pt. Nehru referred to big industries as the temples of modern India and said that the BHEL will one day become an international organisation and bring laurels to the nation. The public sector companies had provided strength to the economy of the country and generated huge employment opportunities.
