BHOPAL: The rat race has begun in the Bhartiya Janta Party to grab the ticket for the upcoming by-election from Ater assembly. To pave the way for former MLA Arvind Singh Bhadoria, one of the strong candidates and former MLA Munna Singh Bhadoria has been appointed as a vice president of Beej Vikas Nigam and have given the status of minister of state.
The seat of Ater constituency became vacant due to death of Congress MLA and leader of opposition Satyadve Katere untimely demise.
Bhadoria wanted to contest the election. On Sunday morning first he was appointed as the vice president of housing board. He was not satisfied with the post, after which he was appointed as a vice president of Beej Vikas Nigam. He will have the status of the MoS, but he is still not happy with the post, he wanted the cabinet minister status.
Bhadoria had contested the election in the year 2008 and emerged victorious. He also contested the election of the year 2013, but lost the seat to former MLA Satyadev Katare.
The Congress has planned to give ticket to son of the former MLA, Hemant Katare. Both Arvind Singh and Bhadoria had already represented the constituency and have good hold in the constituency. Both wanted to contest the election.
In the pressure of the RSS, on Sunday in a press conference Bhadoria said that he will support whoever candidate will contest the election on BJP ticket from Ater.
Munna Singh is known as the close ally of the Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar and have won the election on BJP ticket in the year 1990.
