Bhopal: Azlan Shah Cup Hockey Championship-2019

Bhopal: Neelakanta Sharma and Vivek Sagar Prasad of MP State Hockey Academy have been selected for the Indian Hockey team for the 28th Sultan Shah Cup Hockey Championship-2019. The championship will be played at Ipoh, Malaysia from 23 March. Both the players have been selected as mid-fielder players for the Indian team.

5 players of MP to attend junior men’s national coaching camp from Mar 11. Five players of MP State Hockey Academy, Bhopal have been selected for Junior Men’s National Coaching Camp to be held at SAI, Bengaluru from March 11 to 31.

Rakesh Dahiya, Akshay Awasthi, Ankit Pal, Sundaram Singh Rajawat and Deena Chandra Singh have been selected for this 22 long camp. The players before departing to Bengaluru met the sports and youth welfare director SL Thaosen. He expressed his happiness on the selection of all the players and congratulated them.

Encouraging the players, he said that if they constantly do hard work, nobody can stop them from succeeding. All the five players were trained under the supervision of Chief Coach, MP State Men’s Hockey Academy, Tushar Khandkar.
