Bhopal: Arushi Society bags National award for best campaign on accessibility

Bhopal: Arushi Society, an NGO working for people with disabilities in the city bagged National CSO (Civil Society Organisation) award for best campaign on accessibility. President Ramnath Kovind conferred the award to Anil Mudgal, director of the NGO in an event, held at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi on Friday. Election Commission of India organised the event to mark 9th National Voter’s Day.

The NGO got the national awards for 2018 for taking up measures for accessibility by organising district level workshops, developing accessible voter awareness material and wide dissemination of these materials during the state assembly Election 2018.

Mudgal gave all credit for the award to the people who gave their contribution in the work. The institution also got cooperation of writer and lyricist Gulzar, photographer, Rohit Trivedi, writer Zeeshan-e-Latif, Anil Jingar, Saumya Shukla, Sapna Gupta, Sachin Devliya, Arshad Pathan, Shard Pathekar, Ramswaroop Ahirwar and Sufiya Khan.
