A Hindi play ‘Kanimal Ki Bahas’ was staged at Shaheed Bhavan on Tuesday for the first time. Written by J P Shrivastava, conceptualised and directed by Aazam Khan, the play highlights the social evils in society, betrayal in love and family disputes for properties. The comedy revolves around the advocate Kanimal. He questions to Yamraj who came to take him. He asks some time to Yamraj saying that his some work is still in pending. And from here, some situational comedy create which compel the audience laugh.
It was presented by Flying Fairies Theatre Group, Bhopal. Set, costumes, lights and music were aptly used. “ It is only play which is based on the life of an advocate which highlights social issues of the society. The play was staged for the first time in the study. Earlier, its first show was staged in Delhi in 2004,’ Aazam Khan said. Besides, Shivani Mehra, and Sanskriti Yadav presented ‘Ganesh Vandna’ and Kathak dance in ‘Purvrang’.
