Khandwa: Following her gold medal haul at the recently held state-level taekwondo championship, city girl Arti Verma has been selected for the forthcoming Senior National Taekwondo Championship.
Arti, who has been receiving training at the Sports Authority of India Taekwondo training centre in Khandwa, will be representing Madhya Pradesh in under-49 kg category in the championship to be held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh between February 17 and 19.
Arti’s coach Someswar Rao, district sports officer Arvind Kumar Chauhan, Khandwa District Taekwon-do Association secretary Mohan Kashiv and president of the association, Devendra Verma congratulated Arti on her selection and wished her luck for the championship.
