Bhopal: Last date to apply for scholarship to study abroad is February 10. State government would provide scholarship to 20 students to study abroad for a two year postgraduate course or in a research programme. Selected students will get $ 40,000 per year as scholarship.
$ 38 thousand will be given as scholarship amount while $ 2000 will be given for books, documentation and miscellaneous expenses. The scheme will start from 2019-20 academic session. Students who have availed more than 75% in their graduation or post graduation will be entitled for the scholarship programme and can apply offline.
Students applying for the scholarship should submit their applications by February 10 along with all documents. Eligibility criteria includes age limit of 25 years for postgraduate course and 35 years for research work. The total income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 5 lakh per annum.
The total income includes income of mother, father, parents and wife/husband. The candidates applying for scholarship should have cleared JIE, GMAT, TOFEL, IELTS etc required for getting admission abroad. Candidates will be selected through a merit list and interview by a selection committee.
The applicant should complete the formalities of seeking admission and visa himself. Only students’ visa will be accepted for this scholarship programme. Applicants should seek admission in institutions recognized by government of India. The countries valid for scholarship include Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Netherland, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom and United States of America.
