BHOPAL: The park at Sector-C in Indrapuri has ruined totally because of negligence of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC).

A section of the local residents believes that all of them must make nominal contribution to hire a gardener for proper maintenance of the park if BMC administration continues to turn a blind eye toward it. They say it is not justified to leave the park in such a deplorable condition.

However, they have repeatedly raised the issue with local corporator but so far he has not taken any initiative to gets things in proper shape.

If the park is in bad shape largely due to apathy the things have also been worsened as some of the people living around are using it as for dumping ground of construction material. Others take no objection.

Manoj Ahirwar

“It is unfortunate that neither BMC administration nor local residents take interest in maintaining the park. Local corporator was also contacted for the park’s maintenance but still things are in pipeline.”

Mohammed Shaif

“Earlier, we had decided to set up a committee with prominent residents for proper maintenance of the park. But the problem is that they do not have time. But now again we are thinking to take initiative for cumulative efforts for the park which is important for this locality.”

“It is beyond our imagination that why the BMC administration turns blind eye toward proper maintenance of the park. Even local residents should come forward for maintenance. It needs nothing. Hardly, they have to make contribution to hire a gardener.”

Deepak Singh

“Park should be properly developed otherwise, it is of no use. There is need to focus urgently on the park otherwise, it will further deteriorate.”
