Bhopal: BJP national general secretary Anil Jain clearly indicated before the core panel and election management committee that all decisions, from elections point of view, will be taken by the national president Amit Shah. Jain was here to review the party preparations for the impending assembly elections and also to look into the preparations for celebrating 4 years of Narendra Modi in PM office.
Jain said Shah will begin regular state tours from the next month. He asked to conduct meetings at booth levels so that discipline in party organisation could be maintained. Jain also urged to take to people the achievements of the Central government. He also emphasised on constituting other committees soon from the view of elections.
Jain in his meeting with the office bearers reviewed the compliance with the instructions given by Amit Shah, during his state visit in August. The directions which have not been implemented need to be executed at the earliest, party office bearers were told.
Jain asked to hold programs at booth level, to celebrate four years of Modi government. He also asked to organise ‘Intellectual conventions’ from May 27.
Hike in petrol prices discussed
The issue of hike in prices of petrol and diesel was also raised in the meeting. The party members expressed concern saying that hike may affect party’s prospects in the elections. Jain said the Central government is looking into the issue and soon a decision may be taken.
Stalwarts skips meeting
Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Thawarchand Gehlot, national organisation general secretary Ramlal and state in-charge Vinay Sahastrabudhey were not present in the meeting of core committee and election management committee.
