BHOPAL: Western central Railway (WCR) deployed an all women crew, from guard to loco pilot to manage the show for Bhopal –Bilaspur Express on International Women’s Day on Friday. Women staff, pressed into service included guard Vandana Chatuvedi who flagged off the train, loco–pilot Nutan Kumar drove the train.
She was accompanied by assistant loco-pilot Kumari Neha. Women constable Nitu Rawat, Rajmani Pradhan and TTE Asha Dusane were also deputed on train. While Rekha sen took care of the parcel-wagon. Loco pilot Nutan Kumari and assistant loco pilot Kumari Neha said that it was proud moment for them.
It is a privilege to carry out this special assignment, they added. Assistant point men Arati Yadav was pressed into job of helping passengers at Railway station. Railway division manager Ajit Raghuvanshi congratulated women on this occasion.

Besides, WCR organised a seminar on ‘Coordination between office duty and family responsibility’ Manju Mehta, professor BSSS, and Dr Ajita Thaosen addressed the seminar. Bhopal railway division felicitated 36 women staff on this occasion.
