Senior Congress leader and LoP Ajay Singh met Chief Election Commissioner, OP Rawat in his Delhi office, on Friday and filed a complaint against BJP’s Samridha MP campaign. Singh alleged that it was a government campaign that was gradually translated into a party campaign with mischievous designs.
He alleged that BJP through this campaign is trying to spread confusion among the public. He claimed that detailed investigation into this would reveal how BJP has been misusing government’s campaign but also the financial burden was shared with the government.
Singh in his complaint said that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan knew about the government’s campaign and he intentionally let the BJP use it, which amounts to cheating with the state. Singh demanded that a case be registered against CM Chouhan for violation of model code of conduct.
