Bhopal: Raja Bhoj Airport ground employees, who were to go on strike from Wednesday against privatization, has postponed it till February 25 due to Pulwama terrorist attack. Airports Authority Employees Union (AAEU) president Sidharth Yadav said, “Earlier we had proposed to go on strike from February 20 in protest against privatisation of airports, but now we have postponed due to Pulwama attack till February 25.”
Mainly employees are of fire fighters and electricity cell so it could have adverse impact on flight services. The government last month cleared a proposal to manage six airports of Airports Authority of India (AAI) under the public-private partnership. The aerodromes are Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru.
