Bhopal: The cabinet ministers of state government are not meeting the standards of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, who himself works for 12 hours on a daily basis. After taking home minister Bala Bachchan to task, Nath reprimanded cooperatives minister Govind Singh. Singh was out of the state capital for ten days.

The work related to farm loan waiver is in full swing. The application forms for loan waiver are being filled at Cooperative Banks. There are several issues related to farmers which are to be dealt by Cooperatives department. Singh’s long absence made Nath angry. Singh came to Bhopal on Thursday and disposed all pending files of his department.

Singh also has charge of general administration department. A number of files of this department were also pending. The government also wants to review the issue of loan scam found in cooperative societies. All these works were pending in the absence of Singh.

Earlier, Nath had reprimanded Bachchan for his absence from state capital. Nath is not happy with the working style of his ministers these days. Most of the ministers are new but, instead of learning the working of their departments, they are spending time in their constituencies.

Whatever works, done after Congress government coming in power, are due to Nath’s contribution. The outcome of the working of most of the ministers seems to be almost insignificant. The ministers are neither reviewing the working of their departments nor are they visiting their areas.

Several decisions could not be taken as ministers are taking time to understand working of their departments. With Nath making all ministers cabinet ministers, the files of the department are coming to them for disposal. The CM secretariat is provided only the information about the issues, sought by it.

The ministers, who belong specially to Scindia camp, are showing less interest in the work. Minister for woman and child development Imarti Devi, health minister Tulsi Silawat, revenue minister Govind Rajput, school education minister Prabhuram Chaudhary, labour minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia and animal husbandry minister Lakhan Singh Yadav are the ones who have spent minimal time at the Mantralaya.
