Bhopal: Admin inspects venue, seeks public opinion to improve facilities

Dharmpuri: Ahead of arrival of ‘Namami Devi Narmade Seva Yatra’ in Dharmpuri, Dhar district collector Shriman Shukla conducted an inspection of the venue here at Dharmpuri town on Monday. According to information, the yatra is schedule to arrive in the area on March 1 and preparations to accord grand welcome is on war footing. Dhar superintendent of police Virendra Singh, additional district magistrate DK Nagendra and other administrative officials also accompanied the collector during the inspection.

MLA Kalusingh Thakur, assistant commissioner, tribal development, Brijesh Pandey, SDM SL Sighade, tehsildar RK Guha, municipal council deputy chairman Sunil Mandloi, Dharmpuri police station incharge KS Sahu and others were present on the occasion.

Couple of days back, local MLA Kalusingh Thakur, Sunil Mandloi, municipal council deputy chairman Vinod Sharma also visited the spot and took stock of situation. According to information, veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will receive Chief Minister Chauhan at the programme. After a public meeting, Chauhan will reach programme arena crossing Narmada river in boat.

During inspection, administrative officials inspected lighting, water supply and other arrangements. Officers also had meeting with local public representatives and asked them to give their suggestion to smoothen arrangements here.

District collector expressed dissatisfaction over the width of temporary bridge on Chotti Dhara on Narmada. He ordered ADM to ask respective agency to broaden the width within stipulated time frame.
