Bhopal: ADG asks additional chief secretary for more vehicles for Dial-100 service

BHOPAL: The additional director general of police (ADG) on Tuesday asked the additional chief secretary (ACS), home, for 500 more fast response vehicles (FRV) and 2,000 motorcycles for the Dial-100 service. The ACS inspected the Dial-100 control room on Tuesday.

ADG Anvesh Manglam also demanded the body-worn cameras when ACS, home, KK Singh visited Dial-100 control room. The ADG also demanded a new building for the Dial -100 programme. He said many of the FRVs don’t have the CCTV cameras.

The Government of India is going to launch the emergency services of Dial-112 from December 15, the department is preparing accordingly to the programme.

The Dial-100 service reached 16.50 lakh people who made distress call. The FRVs saved lives of 95 infants, while sending more than 100 pregnant women to hospitals, providing help to more than 10,000 people who got injured in road accidents and also helped others.
