BHOPAL: Santosh Mishra, commissioner, panchayats, who was taken ill after being scolded by department’s ACS RS Julania, is now facing the ire of the state government. On Thursday, he was removed from his post and appointed as OSD in Mantralaya. After being ill-treated by Julania, Mishra had requested the CS to shift him out of the department. That has been done but he has been stripped of all work.
Julania and Mishra had clashed last week over the answer to a call-attention motion in Vidhan Sabha. Mishra was virtually abused by Julania, after which the former’s blood pressure shot up and he had to be admitted to Hamidia Hospital.
Sources said chief secretary BP Singh and panchayat minister were in favour of Julania and that was why Mishra got penalised. Additionally, commissioner, higher education MB Ojha has been appointed commissioner of Ujjain. He will replace Ravindra Pastore, who is superannuating on March 31. Director AIDS Masood Akhtar has been appointed commissioner, panchayats.
