In last five weeks the police have seized Rs 15.57 crore cash, seized 4,547 illegal weapons and action had been taken against more than 1 lakh law breakers to ensure conduct of free and fair election in the state. Under the zero tolerance policy to conduct free and fair elections the police headquarters is monitoring each and every activity which can affect the election. The police have seized Rs 15.57 crore in cash and the jewellery worth Rs 3.80 crore which may be used to affect the election. The police have also seized the 4,547 illegal weapons.

In these weeks the police have seized liquor worth Rs 2.79 crore which is around 1.24 lakh litres. The police have also seized drugs worth Rs 2.86 crore and items like vehicle, laptop and others worth Rs 1.85 crore. The police have taken action against more than one lakh habitual law offenders. 35,544 wanted accuses were also arrested. The police have also identified 1,756 venerable habitats and had identified 5,694 law offenders and had taken action against them.
