Sadhvi Pragya Thakur gave BJP workers an insight into the torture she suffered at the hands of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) after being accused of involvement in Malegaon blast. IT was her first meeting with workers after getting BJP ticket against former CM Digvijaya Singh. She repeatedly broke down while narrating her ordeal leaving party workers with mist eyes.
In a meeting with party workers of Huzur assembly at Manas Bhawan, Pragya said she was repeatedly tortured by ATS. Narrating the nightmare, the sadhvi said that she was continuously beaten by leather belt. Owing to the repeated thrashing, her body lost sensation. “The police even threatened to undress me,” she said and added, “They denied me food to force me into accepting my involvement in the bomb blast.”

Watching a weeping sadhvi narrating her tales of torture, Bhopal Lok Sabha incharge Jaswant Singh Hada and other leaders too became emotional. Sadhvi said Digvijaya Singh was the main brain behind her torture. “He had even planned my encounter,” she said and added, “All those who coined the term saffron terror are now raping the sanctity of saffron colour.”Blasting Diggy, she said that after coining ‘Hindu terror’, he was now indulging in histrionics to prove himself a Hindu. She said that Diggy uses respectable prefix like ‘Shri’ and ‘ji’ to address terrorists and even campaigns for foreign terrorists. For Singh, terrorists are real patriots, she added.

digvijaya Singh’s followers have launched a campaign on social media. The post says, ‘Sambhalna bhopal, Tumhari pariksha hey Is baar’ (people of bhopal be careful. It is your test this time). The post says that people should be ready to hear communal statements in coming days. They must know real definition of hindutva. They must understand the meaning of fake and real hindutva.
The post also requests people not to allow anybody to spoil communal harmony in the city and advises them not get distracted and vote on communal lines.
