Bhopal: The Bhopal smart city development corporation limited (BSCDCL) will install CCTV cameras at eight more places in the city. As a part of intelligent traffic management system (ITMS) over 22 cameras are already monitoring the movement of vehicles in the city. Under the project which was initiated six months back, 48,000 online challans have been issued for traffic rules violation including speed limit violation, helmetless driving and triple riding. However, only around 16,000 have been paid.
The areas where these cameras will be installed now include the Ratnagiri Junction, at the Rangmahal Cinema Square, at Nanake petrol pump, Hoshangabad Road near Bawarchi Restaurant, Mansarovar Complex, Hamidia Road, near Manisha market as well as near 10.5 number bus stop.
