Bhopal: Seventy five private hospitals will be inducted in Ayshman Bharat Health Scheme in the state. In the state capital Chirayu Hospital, Sidhdhanta Hospital, Red Cross, LNCT have been included in the list. So far induction of 66 privates hospitals have been finalised, and the process is on for induction of more.
All the private hospitals will be accredited with National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) or National Health Protection Scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme launched in 2018, under the Ayushman Bharat Mission of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
Medical treatment cost up to Rs 5 lakh has to be made to beneficiaries. According to sources, in addition to government hospital, private hospitals will be inducted in the list. Cards for the beneficiaries are being made through 54,000 centres in the state. Cards cost Rs 30 only with documents Adhar Card and Samagra ID.
Even the family members, who have been left out, can also be included for the benefits. There will no cash transaction during the treatment. Payment will be made online. The scheme aims at making interventions in standardised primary, secondary and tertiary health care systems, covering both preventive and promotive health, to address healthcare holistically. It covers under its umbrella two major health initiatives: Heath and Wellness Centres and National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS).
