Bhopal: Seven persons including three women were booked by Koh-e-Fiza police for fraudulently selling 100 acres of government land in Sehore to a city-based property dealer. Incident took place in year 2013 but FIR was lodged in case on Saturday. According to investigation officer Tarun Singh Bhati, complainant Zafar Sher Khan (43), a property dealer, lives in Khanugaon of Koh-e-Fiza.

He complained that he was duped of Rs 36 lakh in Neebukheda village of Ichhawar tehsil of Sehore. Zafar claimed that the accused Mohammad Khan, Ahmed Khan, Abid Khan, Shakeela Bano, Begum Bi, Rafta Baig and Azeem Mohammad assured him that they are the owners of the land and struk a deal at Rs 36 lakh for 100 acres of land.

He provided the money in several parts to the accused. However, later when he checked the record details he found that the land he was sold is owned by government. He sought a refund but the accused refused him any money. He kept asking them to return him his money but when he realised they will not refund it he approached police. Police have registered a case under sections 420 and 34 of the IPC. Police suspect that the accused have sold the same piece of land to others also.
