Overall 574 nominations have been cancelled by the poll authority in the state during the scrutiny. A total of 4, 157 nominations were filed for the assembly elections to be held on November 28. By Tuesday evening election commission is left with 3, 480 nominations. Maximum 32 nominations were cancelled in Chhindwara district where as only one nomination was cancelled in Sheopur and Umaria district. 22 nominations were cancelled in Bhopal.
November 14 is the last date to withdraw nominations for which only 24 hours are left, the two rival political parties are scurrying to pacify the rebels across the state. BJP which has dropped 43 MLA’s and 4 ministers to combat anti-incumbency is struggling hard to tone down the rebellion within the party. Congress is also facing similar situation.
